Now, a report from TV Line has confirmed the official release dates of these top Fox series, most of them coming at the beginning of 2021. The very first major premiere of Fox's lineup is the debut of The Masked Dancer, a spinoff of the incredibly popular Masked Singer, premiering December 27 at 8/7c. Other returning series include Hell's Kitchen on January 7, Prodigal Son on January 12, and 9-1-1, as well as its Lone Star spinoff on January 18. The new Fox lineup also includes the new comedy series Call Me Kat, a remake of the U.K. Comedy Miranda, on January 3, alongside the ninth and final season of the Tim Allen sitcom Last Man Standing.

The action-packed season 2 finale left viewers with mixed emotions. While Tommy 's motivation for helping Austin residents was renewed, she was still reeling from Charles 's unexpected death. For the time being, it seems like the plan is to air the Rob Lowe – Gina Torres drama starting at midseason, which could mean it comes back as early as January. We're sure that there will be some flexibility for the premiere date depending on what happens the next few months, but there could be some teasers/trailers that air over the course of the fall!

While there could be some new faces who turn up in Austin this coming season, we don't fundamentally expect to see a totally different show when it comes back. Just like the regular9-1-1, Lone Starknows that its strength comes in dynamic rescues and also poignant, timely character moments. Whether Owen can overcome his demons and Tommy decides on a job or family, we will probably only find out with the release of the third season. 911 Lone Star, a popular procedural drama, has returned to the small screen for its second season. The first episode of season 2 premiered on January 18, 2021. The show focuses on a group of front liners in Texas, who have to balance between their family and their duties of saving people 24x7. On September 3, 2020, Gina Torres was cast as a series regular for the second season. On September 22, 2020, Liv Tyler departed the show prior to the second season. Two days later, Lisa Edelstein was cast in a recurring role for the second season. On October 8, 2020, Derek Webster join the cast in a recurring capacity for the second season.
